	Xwest team captain, Peruvian Marco Malaga Muller, repeated his domination of the "Sand Master Jam". By setting a new event record in the Duel Slalom and a new world record in the Mens Drags Marco earned a number of prizes including a Wide Ride sandboard, Flow bindings and emerged as the SMJ'98 Champion.

	Zac Dubel scans an endless horizon of fresh faces, bowls and half pipes. His first time out at Dumont Zac turned in an impressive 8.59 sec. drag time, just six hundreds of a second from Marco Malaga's 1st place time of 8.53 sec. Competition was intense.
